High street home trends for spring/summer 2016.

OMG! I can’t believe that it’s May already and I didn’t write a single post last month! Well, I’m back now and I intend to write more regularly. A lot of going on right now in my own apartment, so hopefully I will share with you all my mini makeovers soon.

While I was looking for some new cushions for my living room sofa, I was inspired by new high street trends. I noticed, that tropical colours and botanical patterns dominated this spring/summer collections; and of course timeless and classic coastal style, but in more intense colours than usual.

Let’s start with Zara Home. It’s a beautiful, colourful oriental/ethnic collection.

H&M made a cheerful, juicy tropical collection. I love it, especially for a garden party.

Laura Ashley, like every year, has a beautiful coastal collection.

Lately I discovered, that Sainsbury’s has quite interesting and good quality home accessories. This spring collection is inspired by nature.

Which collection do you like the most? Which one inspires you the most? I like all of them and I would use each one for a different purpose. Colourful oriental and tropical would be great for garden parties; botanical is so subtle and light, perfect for spring living room. Coastal I would use all year around if only I have a house by the beach!
